We firmly believe that every adult, young person, or child, regardless of their background or experience, should feel safe, valued, happy and have opportunities to reach their full potential.
We believe every adult, young person, and child has the right to support appropriate to them as individuals. This support promotes personal life chances and provides them with an effective means to negotiate their path beyond their placement with us.
We recognise the fundamental importance of enabling opportunities for personal growth, learning through experience, and positive role modelling.
Kimberley House is located in Litherland, Sefton. It comprises five self-contained two-bedroom apartments, all within a single building, with staff premises on the ground floor. Staff members are present 24/7 to monitor the well-being of all the residents. They are available to support the young people, whether it's helping them apply for courses and jobs, providing companionship, or teaching essential life skills.
Bridgeway Support is committed to supporting young people and families in the community. We understand the value of offering this bridging service at critical times. Whether it's for early intervention or to bridge gaps during a transition, we ensure that each person has the right amount of hours, support, and learning opportunities. This service has proven beneficial for many, from parents struggling with care responsibilities, to young people living independently for the first time. We want to assure you that we continuously review our support services to ensure they're effective for everyone.
RAE will provide a safe and nurturing home for families whilst undergoing a parenting assessment.
RAE will provide accommodation for up to 6 families. During their residential assessment, RAE will support parents in developing their parenting style safely, and staff will be on hand to offer support and guidance in line with the needs of each family. The family will undergo a fair, robust and evidenced-based assessment, and the final report will formulate clear recommendations intended to contribute to the final care plan for the child(ren). Parents will also be encouraged to develop their independent living skills throughout placement in preparation for living independently. RAE will work in partnership with families and professionals to share information, celebrate achievements, and address concerns.
We are thrilled to announce that we are currently undergoing renovations of our third setting within Sefton. This will be registered with Ofsted as a care leavers' provision.

At Bridgeway Support, we pride ourselves on completing high-quality parenting assessments. We use the Parent Assess model, which is now the most widely recognised and accepted specialist parenting assessment framework in the country.
All assessments are adapted to meet the individual needs of each family and the directions from the referring authority. Our fully trained social workers have over a decade of experience assessing families and have an excellent reputation with Local Authorities and the courts.
At Bridgeway Support, we understand that many of our young people, families and staff have experienced Trauma. As such, we ensure that the service's trauma-informed practices weave through all aspects. Our Trauma-Informed statement shows how we have adapted our service to become more Trauma-Informed. This approach ensures that every person using the service is understood and has opportunities to understand, manage and address their experiences of Trauma. Furthermore, adopting this approach reduces conflict, placements breaking down and further harm to mental health. To commit further to this approach, we have staff trained to deliver the Bee Kind Trauma-Informed parenting course to resident and community parents.
We recognise how daunting moving on can be for families and young people and are committed to making this a positive process. When the time is right, we support housing applications, moving in, and making this a home. We understand the significant adverse effects that service changes can have, particularly on young people, when they lose trusted staff members or transition to new services. This understanding has driven us to expand Bridgeway's services, ensuring that we can provide consistent support that wraps around our service users as their needs evolve. Our flexible staff team continues working with the same young people as they become independent. We are committed to this relationship model of support, believing that it will help build resilience, increase the success of interventions, and prevent needs from being missed. This continuity ensures consistent feedback and information is shared with the Local Authority, promoting safety, positive futures and collaborative working.
At Bridgeway Support, we believe in empowering our service users. We want everyone to identify and achieve their goals, hopes, and dreams. We support young people in accessing their Local Offer, becoming financially stable, learning to cook, look after their own health, manage a home, apply for training or employment, and start to access local services. We use the Moving On booklet to prepare for independence and target areas of development and support. Everyone's aspirations are different, and the journey to take that path forward is unique. We trust our service users to lead the way in our person-lead approach to intervention. We take the time to develop relationships with our residents to foster a trusting, respectful relationship that supports growth and change.
Bridgeway Support believes everyone accessing our service deserves a secure, stable and caring environment, which will encourage growth and change. We are committed to ensuring the safety of everyone in our care. Safeguarding will be at the heart of all our interventions, and this is best achieved by working in partnership with service users.
All staff members are carefully selected, possess a safeguarding qualification, and receive additional training on our safeguarding policies and procedures. We have a dedicated safeguarding team with extensive experience and training.
The safety and well-being of all service users are overseen by the managing director, the responsible individual, resident social workers, and the key worker team. We collaborate with placing authorities to ensure that information is shared promptly and efficiently, while adhering to data protection regulations. This approach helps us address risk assessments and safeguarding concerns collectively.
At Bridgeway Support, we believe that no adult, young person, or child should be disadvantaged by their life background or lived experience. We value everyone for who they are, what they are, and what they bring. We embrace difference and the growth potential this brings for all.
We believe every adult, young person and child has the right to support appropriate to them as individuals, which promotes personal life chances, and provides them with an effective means to negotiate their path beyond their placement with us. To demonstrate this commitment further, we have ensured that staff have a good understanding of neurodiversity and that both the environment and interventions are adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Adopting this approach also benefits the service users as they can better understand their functioning and how it impacts their daily lives.
We love speaking to potential commissioners, referrers or service users. Give us a call, and we can discuss your requirements and answer any questions.
